The Mind of a Low-Tier Manager - An Introduction

When there are managers who are blessed with great players, tons of money, immense tactical knowledge, and a huge stadium in which to make even more money on, there will always be the manager who isn’t blessed with any of those. They are the manager who will have to work with everyone else’s rejects, a small stadium, a very tight budget, and . Basically, for all the winning managers, there are losing managers, and for all the losing managers, there is always going to be one that stands out. The one in question, just happens to be the one whose article you are reading right now.
Having just gone out at the first hurdle of all my official comps for the 5th time in 6 seasons, and being winless in Overnight FA competitions this season, I know plenty about losing. I know plenty about being in the helpless position of not being able to afford game-changing players, not being able to come up with a competitive tactic, and rarely having the money to expand the stadium. The frustration of having everything you throw at the game be thrown right back in your face keeps mounting and mounting until you want to just throw the computer out the window. To some, it’s just a game. To those who are always struggling to compete on a regular basis, it’s a game that you play to win.
If you’re one of these managers, you’ve probably already asked for help from people in your GW, and you’ve tried everything they’ve suggested to no success. You’ve probably gone to the SI forums, and gotten some ideas, along with the occasional troll that tells you to “go read a tactical manual and stop begging for help like a sick dog”. You’ve gone to other FML forums where the atmosphere is more friendly and asked for advice there. Then when all else fails, you’ve hit the reset button on your team in the off-season and tried a totally different approach, and had that blow up in your face. That, my friends, is the story of the low-tier manager.
What to do now that we’ve classified you as one of these low-tier managers? Well for one, let’s figure out what your strong points and weak points are. Let’s find a tactic to build on, and let’s dip into the transfer market to find that game-changing player that your team so desperately needs. All the teams that are successful have more than one franchise player, but we’re not worried about that right now. Let’s get just one franchise player and go from there. What do the low-tier managers need to do? They need to roll up their sleeves, get down into the trenches, and get to work. Hard work and simple logic will always win out in the end no matter how overwhelming the odds are. Even when you’re struggling on your new plan, don’t worry. Even when it looks like logic is going to take a backseat to nonsense, stay the course. Eventually, if you make the right decisions, the manager will always get the nose back up on the team, and if nothing else, the team will be more competitive, and you’ll be back on the right track towards enjoying this great game we call Football Manager Live.
In closing, no matter how doom and gloom things look on your team, every dog has their day. One day, you could be like me, a low-tier manager. Next thing you know, you could be winning trophies left and right and attributing your success to simple logic and good decision-making. I believe FML is like a championship boxing match: You could struggle early and get your butt handed to you, but as long as you’re still standing and still breathing, you’ve got a puncher’s chance to steal an upset win no matter the odds. Hang in there, my brethren!

OFA League Recap
The second season of the Overnight FA brought about a new Championship division. It also saw an exciting title race that went down to the final games. The battle for safety was also a thrilling one to watch. Let's recap it.
After finishing runners up last season, Wilson Ng's Troopers finally got over the hump, edging out the Rookie's Leeds Knights by one point, and Kevin Barnes' C.F. Relleu by two points. Last season's champions Africa Proconsularis finished a very disappointing 5th. The manager of that team, Mary Krania, has left for EEFA. We wish her the very best.
Unfortunately, teams have to go down because of suckage, and there are three. The New Saints of Liverpool could not beat the drop, missing out on safety by one point. Red Devils USA dug themselves a hole early in the season and could not recover, finishing 15th on 24 points, and Anagennisi finished bottom on 19 points after an especially rough campaign. Anagennisi also left for EEFA at the end of the season and we also wish them the best of luck in their new FA.
A note on the table: If a team finishes higher than 65% AI, they are relegated. Thus, Sublime FC (4th), Aladdin (12th), and Granning UK (13th) will also be taking the drop.
FC Adelaide won the Championship in a bit of a runaway by 7 points and will be playing in the Premiership. Normally, 2nd and 3rd would also be up for promotion, but their poor AI % might leave them out. In fact, that leaves all but two teams left who can be promoted. 10th placed Chelsea Australia FC and 11th place Anfield Faithful. We will have to see what kind of ruling will be made, but smart money is on the teams with bad AI not being promoted.

XFA Season Round up
The Season has come to an end. We have seen tears of joy and tears of sadness. The stars of tomorrow has shown themselves over the last 21 days while yesterdays stars are walking out the back door.
As all the players go on a well deserved vacation the rest of us will round up on the many
matches we have seen this season. Surprises aswell as expected results.
The XFA Premier League ended with what was expected. Excellent FC J-Ilves took the championship again, making it a hat-trick.
And not to anybodies surprise, Woking went on to claim second place for the second time in a row.
Relegating clubs will be HughDemen, Clockwork Orange, JK Tallinna Piraaja and Parkside Football Club.
I think we are all a little surprised to se JK Tallinna Piraaja go down.
In the Championship FK DAC 1904 had no problems showing everybody how it is done. 48 matches won out of 76.
Calcium Santos 1.1b settled in well and took the second promotion place while 3rd and 4th spot had some struggling to do, before they finally secured their promotion.
Going down this season will be some well known names. Dundee FC, Spam City, Braggs babes, 11 Sexy Wizards, Kapuk Utd and Fluminense Ska.
The surprise this season is Burnley Lads finishing 10th. I had them on as title contenders.
Going up from XFA Divison 1A cannot be a surprise to many. Wigan Athletic FC won the league and will be taking FasTeam with them into the Championship. There was not many points between the top teams, so we should expect a great fight for the title next season.
XFA Divisoin 1B was a bit more intense with teams fighting for every point. In the end it ended up with Steaua Alexandria and Freelancers going up. Brayton fc will most likely not be going anywhere as they managed to lose all 60 matches.
In XFA Division 1C it was no surprise that Dyslexic Academicals took first place. It is an excellent team, and I expect to see a great performance in the Championship next year. Going up with them will be Capetas Team, sending BRESIL down to third. This league is full of excellent teams, which are fighting for the spots, so I will not be betting on a winner here for next season. We also had a record with 64 loses in a row by Worsley Woods FC.
In the youth department, where XFA is showing of their promising future there was no real surprises.
JK Tallinna Piraaja was a clear winner with AZ Bruntsfield in second and Angels Advocate in third. The great once form of Mumbai Town XI ended up in a 6th place. Will they be able to pick them selves up for next season?
XFA U19 League was won by FOOTBALL KILLER with FK DAC 1904 in second place. XFA U17 League was also won by FOOTBALL KILLER with Mental Militia taking second place.
To no surprise, FC J-Ilves succes did not just end with the league as they also was victories in the XFA Premier Cup, beating OM Corleone 0-1 in the finale.
The XFA Non-Premiership Cup was won by FK DAC 1904 by beating Calcium Santos 1.1b 3-1 in the finale. A Truly great year for manager David Pasztor.
During this break away from the season we will also be finding out, which players actually performed on such a high level they deserve some appriasal, so stay tuned for the next XFA follow up.

GW Miller Topic of the Week for 4/19
As several have reported, a bug has been found where tactics points have been refunded a second time. This is a perfect time to start the GW Miller Topic of the Week! It's an ethical question, so whether you're gonna play it honest and not use your points, or if you're going to be a cheating bastard and exploit the bug to get more skills, I wanna hear from you!
Have you gotten greedy and spent your second batch of refunded points?
I'll give you my take: I held the temptation off for nearly 2 hours. Could not hold on any longer. Used the bonus points. I hope this bug is fixed and they can properly punish all the users who did use them. Maybe a skill embargo of a few days as punishment. That, or a cash fine. I'll gladly pay it.
I want all answers via in-game Mail due in by April 23rd. I will then take the best three responses and post them the next night. Those three will be eligible to beat my reserves in a non-friendly game whenever they want.

Beating the Teams You're Supposed to Beat - Is this logic nonsensical in FML?
Tonight I asked the entire Miller lobby this question: Do you believe in the logic that there are just certain teams that you really should beat?
My take on this: Yes, there should be teams that you really should beat, like teams at least 200 ranks behind you. For top teams, I'd say at least 300 ranks because any of the top 300 can spring an upset on a top team at anytime. I throw not only the teams in those ranking ranges into the mix, but also the teams that don't have a bonafide star or recognizable name, teams that have just restarted, teams two stars rep or less, or teams that have just joined the gameworld. No matter how good a tactician a manager is, sometimes the player quality has to supercede all in this case. Anyone who tries to tell me that if you give Jose Mourinho a Blue Square North/South team, he'll turn them into a team that will beat a top Premiership side is out of their mind. Tactical strategy is great and all, but in the end, quality will always win out.
Here are some of the answers I have received.
William Hall: Yeah I believe in it but it really is lottery.
Abdul Muizz: I used to think that all the time. Now, I am not so sure.
Rajesh Borah: There are no certain teams, except the ones that have the GW title. It happens to me too, but that's football.
Simon Witt: There are teams with weaker players that play with "unrealistic" formations that I don't see how can dominate my team and yet get so many chances, so yes. I fail to see how a 6 man midfield creates 20 shots in a game. I can understand having all the possession, but if no stikers, how do they get into advanced positions?

Red Devils USA Team Preview (Season 5)
In season 4, Red Devils USA limped home to a 23rd place finish in the Overnight Premiership, only avoiding relegation due to the amount of teams that finished with 65% AI games. They struggled in the cup competitions, losing at the first hurdle of both the Miller World Cup and the Miller Grassroots Cup. They fell in the second round of the Overnight Cup for their only cup victory of the season. This team are a far, far cry from the team they were in season 1, when they almost won the Morning Premiership. Will things get any better for beleaguered Red Devils USA manager Tom Delgado? Can he oversee a turnaround for the ages that could make him the first 2-time winner of the Manager of the Season award?

Marco Perez - 51 goals in 152 games since joining the club. Considered by many to be a player to watch in the next few years, Perez has shown signs of promise. Could this be the year that he puts it all together? If he struggles, veteran Paulo Cesar will be looking to take his spot in the team.
Per Kroldrup - 7.09 rating in 137 matches since joining the club. Expected to be the leader of a $1,150,000 defensive renovation. Considered the face of the Red Devils USA franchise, it will be Kroldrup's responsibility to play like the top flight defender manager Tom Delgado brought him in to be.
Leon Andreasen - Season 5 will be the time for Andreasen to prove himself. Struggled to a 6.79 average rating in 108 matches. If he continues to struggle, supporters will really begin to turn their back on him.
Alvaro Ormeno - 7.10 average rating in just 51 games. Ormeno is already a fan favorite at the club for his unwillingness to fold up against superior opposition. Can he continue to hold off Patric and keep his spot in the team?
Scott Fox - The official successor to the goalkeeping throne once occupied by Juan Ojeda, the 25-year old Fox comes over from Sune Nielsen's Dream Team. He holds the record for most appearances at the club (2,611).
Prediction - The team looks stronger. Unfortunately, so does everyone else. Considering they were not very competitive last season, they should be considerably better. However, their increased ability to compete will not be able to save them from not only the drop, but from bottom. It doesn't help their cause that they are the lowest team to avoid relegation last season, finishing 23rd. They were saved due to other teams playing more than 65% AI matches. One thing Red Devils USA does have going for them: They were top of the AI% table, only playing 4% of their OvPrem matches with the AI manager. The only way they will be able to have a moderately successful season is if they get fortunate and can feast on opposing AI, like they did in Season 1 when they almost won the Good Morning Premiership in the now-defunct MFA.

World Cup
Miller is currently having some probs and I got time to write a bit :-)
We had as you probably saw a World Cup for National teams last Sunday. It was huuuuge success all over!
The team that won was Turkey, Volkan´s team won against Mexico in a thrilling penalty shootout. Unfortunatly I missed it, due to a "real life" must do ;-)
Its a must do to do this over again! On a Personal note, my team Sweden did go without a loss until the Semi-Final against Mexico. Due to a stressful situation just before I handed in the first 11 to the referee, I ended up giving the ref the wrong list of players and I got disqualifyed :-)
Such is life, but my team deserved a better ending, and I feel for the guys that really wanted to reach the final and got disapointed by the Manager, "aka" me :-)

Diamond Fail - Don't be Suckered!
The 4-4-2 diamond is a good tactic if you have the right players. This is a fact. However, there is another fact: The diamond for the most part SUCKS against wide teams. If you play it like I do, you're going to get picked apart by a team that plays wide. In the coming blogs from me, I will hopefully show you how to even the score against the wide formations when playing a diamond formation.
What I want to test is how playing left and right mids works against a team that plays wide. The expectation is that the wide midfielders will be able to extend the width of play for my team, while at the same time minimizing the width advantages that come with playing a wide tactic.

I dont know if you all know about the National World Cup that has been arranged by our beloved Nathan Pollard. Its called "The Real World Cup"
24 teams will be gathered and every manager need to find themselves a team of their choice of Country before Sunday noon. This Idea is so fantastic it made me shiver in joy! The feeling of beeing the National Manager of Mighty Team Sweden is just to great! No more boring football from my beloved Country :-)
Now, lets see which teams that have qualifyed so far. There are 18 teams out of 24 that at the moment are through to the World Cup (Nathan will handle the rest) If you are interested Pm him!

At this point I cant finish my blog because the National flags in Miller have disapeard. A known bug when I write this...
anyway, this idea made me think about selling my whole Tranmere Rovers squad and build myself a whole Swedish squad instead. Its just so exciting :-)

A reminder that anyone who has not logged on for three weeks or more and with 12 players of more will be allocated to the Casual Inactive FA. If someone has AI%+25% in their league they will be relegated (unless twice in a row which will result in ejection from FA). There will also be a deactivation process shortly after the season ends.
Please contact one of your FA Organisers if you have any issues.

Yeah...My 9 Day Vacation Lasted About 12 Hours
I know I said I'd only blog on Sundays, but I feel that this is a necessary rant. Consider it a manager's madness over a supposedly "overpowered" tactic that immediately let him down. This blog is written to the song of "The End" by The Doors.
If you look to the right of the site, you'll see me saying I'm taking a 9 day sabatical (the length of my holiday time), but whoops, I'm back on Miller after just 12 hours and such. My plans to take a break went tits up as soon as I turned on the computer. The addiction came over me and now I'm updating the client.
Now then, what to do with my 4-3-3 that can seemingly shoot 29 times and not score while opponents can shoot 4-8 times and score at least once. I could just continue limping along, see my team shoot many times and not hit the target at all while my opponents take several well-placed shots and kick me up and down the pitch. I could slow the tempo down and watch as we lose the possession battle repeatedly, while agonizing about why we can't seem to keep the game out of the goalkeeper's face.

Red Devils USA - The Descent into Madness
This being my first post to the Miller Beta blog, I would like to thank Mr. Rik Stewart for giving me the opportunity to join the blogging team. I'll try not to let you and the rest of the blogger down, but I can't guarantee that, since FML may have contributed to my increasing alcoholism. :P (Just kidding)
Anyway, to something you guys want to read. If you've seen my own blog, you will see that I had done a tactical test with a custom-made 4-3-1-2. Well, everything started out great, going 4-3-2 (W-L-D) in a 10 match test against the AI. I had my first chance to see how it works against human players, and to my shock, it was a 2-0 success over Cheadle Town FC. The good wins continued over AI opposition, including back to back top 100 victories in the "I am Graeme Kelly and You are Not" league.
After a defeat to Bradford city 2-1, we began our run of 14 games unbeaten, which included 10 wins and 4 draws, the most prestigeous another win over top 50 side FK DAC 1904 2-1, rallying from a late 1st half goal to grab a win. After taking 2 wins and 2 draws off of Biccehs Team of WIN, we were finally halted by a game Weyford Vale FC 2-1. We failed to get revenge, falling 2-1 in a return bout at the Black Hole. That started my current harsh run of form. We lost 3 of 4 after those two matches before somehow managing to beat Club Athletico Boca Juniors 2-1. Since then, 5 straight losses, including a 3-0 frustration-based Abandonment against Kornjace. In my rage, I decided not to play anymore matches until I could get my hands on a team that wouldn't fold up and die as soon as the whistle is blown.
Against my better judgement, I agreed to play a match against FC Potter in the Double Your Money + comp. A 2-1 loss condemned me to defeat for the 3rd straight in 3 matches in that competition, basically killing any chance of me finishing in the top 5 and cashing. $25,000 down the tubes, couldn't be any happier to make a donation. *SARCASM!*
This time, I mean what I say and I say what I mean: No more matches unless my AI's playing until I can sell most of my players and have a core to base a tactic around. Nobody is vulnerable to the Red Devils USA firesale. I wouldn't be surprised if I end up being sold to Blitzkrieg for $1.
What helps my cause, however, is that I somehow won BOTH the Biggest Mover and Newcomer Biggest Mover of the past week award, netting me a cool $200,000 ($100,000 for each. That should keep the creditors off my back for a little while. We're also still trying to bring in a few players on the cheap in the auction and free agent market, with a slight focus towards youth. Of course, with no judging potential skill anytime soon, this youth movement may very well be hit and miss, mostly miss.
That's it for part 1 of my descent into madness. Next time, will I have figured out the secret to getting a hint of consistency? Will I somehow have gotten my hands on the famous mod_cheat.exe? Will I shave another 10 years off my life thanks to having the only team that can't beat themselves in a match? You'll just have to wait until next Sunday like the rest of us! :P

XFA Roundup
With the season end and FA lockdown around the corner, it is time for a XFA roundup!
XFA Premier League:
Jukka's impressive FC J-Ilves won its first offical trophy from the gameworld's most extreme league. After losing to an AI Tianjin TEDA, he finally got his hands on it. Onion Warrior came in second, 7 points short after 76 games. Third place Woking was right behind with 131 points.

XFA Division 1B final standing is an amazing sight. Mumbai Town XI came in second, at 151 points, 2 short of winners, Gorillaz. Third place Bukgarian Team finish with 145 points.

Winners Dyslexic Academicals finally won the XFA Non-Premiership Cup after a hard fought 3-2 win over Fluminense Ska.
Winners Mumbai Town XI, stormed through XFA U21 League with an impressive 230 points, losing only twice throughout the entire league. Runnerup Angels Advocate was 34 points behind finshing with 196 points. Second runnerup AZ Bruntsfield shared the same amount of points with Forth place JK Tallinna Piraaja. The former was ahead through goal difference.

AFA Premiership:
The top flight league of the AFA was decided on the very last day of the season as Sunday Footballers F.C. captured their second successive title on goal difference after Jammella FC failed to capitalise on their chance to create an upset in the race for the Premiership crown after losing 4-1 to AFC Caveman in the last match of the season. Sunday Footballers F.C. will have to count themselves lucky but still worthy winners after a difficult injury plagued season.
AFA Division 1A:
Congratulations to Vault dwellers on their impressive performance in the AFA Division 1A. They ended 4 points ahead of closest rivals FC Millenium 1987. Both of whom have secured Premiership places for next season.
AFA Division 1B:
The AFA Division 1B can only be described as being dominate by The Horde. Having ended the season 25 points ahead of the closest competitor, they certainly left the pack in their dust and capture the title as well as promotion to the top flight.
AFA Cup:
Sunday Footballers F.C. failed to do the league and cup double after being defeated by Jammella FC in the AFA Cup. Jammella FC were out for revenge after throwing away their chance of winning the AFA Premier League at the very last moment.
AFA Non-Premiership Cup:
The Horde ended their season is superb fashion capturing a Non-Premiership double after handing out a 3-1 defeat to Aslanlar SK. The Horde have given AFA Premier League teams a reason to worry as they will enter the top flight next season.
AFA Under-21's:
NakedMusic's youths have won the AFA U-21's in dominating style after finishing top with 13 points ahead of second place making them undoubtedly the best youth set-up in the AFA. Watch out for a few future stars coming through the ranks. You heard it here first.

I just want to make a few things clear regarding the AI% of your team, as these percentages are important. As you know, exceeding the AI% of 25% is punished with a 75% deduction of the league prize money.
Also, any team exceeding the AI% set by the XEFA by 25% or more should be relegated to the division below and denied promotion. For all XEFA leagues, this means that teams with an AI% of 50% or over are automatically relegated to a lower division or denied promotion when they are already in the lowest division.
Managers may be removed from XEFA if they exceed the AI% figure set by 25%, for a second season running.
Inactive teams may be removed from XEFA if they have not signed into the game for over 1 month and are not set on Holiday Mode (unless you have been informed by the user of an extended absence).
As a warning or incentive to play more matches, I’ve added a list of teams currently exceeding the 50% AI regulations beneath the write-up of their respective divisions.

In an effort to make the XEFA even better of it’s members, we have started a number of youth competitions. Right now, we’re just testing them all to see if they work. Next season, they are open to the general public. If you wish to enter such a league, just send an e-mail to one of the XEFA organisers.

As expected, Remon’s impressive Red Naruto looks en route to their second consecutive XEFA Premiership win. The team is currently 31 points clear from the runner-up in the Premiership, Star-Light.
Down the bottom, things are looking more interesting. Martin seem doomed, with a mere 42 points they will have to improve dramatically to get above the dreaded red line.
Zylki, Ownage Beta FC and Fortuna Aeternitas are battling to stay clear from the fourth and final relegation spot. Out of those three, Fortuna and Ownage have a higher projected points total, but theoretically they can still drop down a division if they become careless.

WCA Premiership roundup
As we grind towards the last weekend of the season and the last games to be played, the Weekend Casual Association Premiership has taken shape and it's no surprise to find 3rd world ranked team Manchester With Chelsea once again dominating the league with currently only 2 games lost out of 20 played. However, this season's looking much closer than last season with FC Chicken 7 points behind and LMFAP 10 points off the lead, both with a game in hand. Both are sure to be looking closely to jump on any slip up that MWC may show. However, having once been chasing MWC in the qualifying leagues and hoping for the same slip up that never came, the current leaders, and reigning champions must be favourites to retain the league.
Behind them, the battle for 4th place is highly fought after with only 7 points separating 4th place from 11th. This is one battle that will go right to the end on Monday, with every team fighting for the extra money and glory that comes with 4th position. Riopool FC are currently leading this pack, but a mention must go to Football4Cast who are one of 3 teams unbeaten at home, but have conceded the measly number of 3 goals out of ten home games. Only 9 goals scored though has led to 6 of these games being draws. More firepower must be on the agenda for this team with a brick wall at the back.
Down at the wrong end of the league, the bottom three are near dead-certs to go down with Portsmouth Villa FC and Boulevard Manchester United both on 10 points and FC Blitzkreig doing their best to do a Sunderland on 9 out of a current possible 57 points. However, the fight to stay away from the last relegation spot looks like it could also go all the way to the wire with 4 points the gap between 12th and 17th positions.
So far though this season, it's not the highest scoring of seasons, with defences tending to win games more than all out attacking. Only 5 players have currently reachd double figures with LMFAP's Wason Renteria leading the pack with a very respectable 16 goals from 19 games, currently over half of his team's goals this season.

Behind them, the battle for 4th place is highly fought after with only 7 points separating 4th place from 11th. This is one battle that will go right to the end on Monday, with every team fighting for the extra money and glory that comes with 4th position. Riopool FC are currently leading this pack, but a mention must go to Football4Cast who are one of 3 teams unbeaten at home, but have conceded the measly number of 3 goals out of ten home games. Only 9 goals scored though has led to 6 of these games being draws. More firepower must be on the agenda for this team with a brick wall at the back.
Down at the wrong end of the league, the bottom three are near dead-certs to go down with Portsmouth Villa FC and Boulevard Manchester United both on 10 points and FC Blitzkreig doing their best to do a Sunderland on 9 out of a current possible 57 points. However, the fight to stay away from the last relegation spot looks like it could also go all the way to the wire with 4 points the gap between 12th and 17th positions.
So far though this season, it's not the highest scoring of seasons, with defences tending to win games more than all out attacking. Only 5 players have currently reachd double figures with LMFAP's Wason Renteria leading the pack with a very respectable 16 goals from 19 games, currently over half of his team's goals this season.

XEFA Youth Competition Logos
While the idea of expanding the youth set up is brewing within the XEFA, I have taken it upon myself to add a little bit of me to the competitions. So I will be tinkering with the logos of the new Under 21 + Under 19 Competitions for the XEFA. If the Youth set up takes off and the new logos work, then I am willing to add that extra little bit of customisation to all the Federations. In your own colours of course.
Here are the a few works in progress.
As you can see they are similar in some ways. They will evolve into their own logos, but this is just to give you all an idea of where my head is.
I will also be looking to create a logo for the Cups and the Under 21 + Senior Shield Competitions.

ALL Evening Premiership
After half a season now played the All Evening Premiership is as close as ever. 9 teams with just 8 points difference are struggeling to get their form back on track. Last year champion, Miguel Delgados Just4fun FC are currently sitting at the to of the table after 21 games played and 41 points. During Just4fun FCs season, their manager decided to sell his star forward Liédson to Bukgarian team for 800.000$. This opened up for other teams in the Premier. At the moment Just promoted Tranmere Rovers are 2nd, 3 points behind with same amount of matches played.
I can´t see that the Rovers will eventually have any chances winning the Premiership this season after losing out of star DC Petri Pasanen and young striker David N´Gog and the team has yet to fill up their places. Talking to the manager and I quote -"At the moment Im gonna play with what i got and hope for the best. Money is not growing on trees at the Rovers"
Third at the table with 24 matches played is Sudoko FC. Charles George´s team had a great last season, winning the All Evening Cup and got promoted after winning the D1C division. So far this season Sudoko Fcs well oiled machine, playing a classic narrow chrismas tree havent got up to its normal standard, but with a lot of games still to be played I would bet my money that Sudoko FC will find themself if not top of the table, but close to it. Players like Gareth Barry and Michael Johnson is a very attractive midfield, hard working and strong to cope with, so Im sure Sudoko FC will not let their supporters down.
From 4th to 9th there are just 5 points difference between Akuru Milan FC that are 4th and Cereal Killers that at the moment are 9th.
At 6th and 7th we find two teams that well may win this. 2 great teams Gospodari Svemira and Cairneyhill FC that just shaddows the top 3. 2 Top ranked teams that have struggled a bit in form, but if they start performing they would be challenging Just4fun FC for the title this year.
Its gonna be an exciting end of this Premiership and if I would put my bet on anyone it might be the Champion holders Just4fun FC, but with teams like Sudoko FC and Gospodari and Cairneyhill just behind, this will turn out to be a real thriller!

Right, this is the first semi-weekly XEFA Premiership newsletter. Just a way to improve the activity within the FA and it will hopefully ensure some more activity in the XEFA Chat as well.
== Last week's performances ==
As the competition is almost 25% done for most members, the league looks as interesting as always. Leading the pack so far is Efe Cinar with his balanced. He has quite a few games played compared to the others, so it looks unlikely that he will be able to keep Remon's from the first spot. Is there any side at all capable of keeping Remon from defending his crown?
Near the bottom of the table, things are interesting as well. Quite a few teams have not had a good start to the season. As you all know, the bottom four in the Premiership will relegate, so it might be interesting to see what happens there.
== AI regulations for all XEFA competitions ==
I just want to make a few things clear regarding the AI% of your team, as these percentages are important. As you know, exceeding the AI% of 25% is punished with a 75% deduction of the league prize money.
Also, any team exceeding the AI% set by the XEFA by 25% or more should be relegated to the division below and denied promotion. For all XEFA leagues, this means that teams with an AI% of 50% or over are automatically relegated to a lower division or denied promotion when they are already in the lowest division.
Managers may be removed from XEFA if they exceed the AI% figure set by 25%, for a second season running. Inactive teams may be removed from XEFA if they have not signed into the game for over 1 month and are not set on Holiday Mode (unless you have been informed by the user of an extended absence).

Miller Beta Game World
I thought we could set up this blog for all the Miller Beta teams and managers and in time perhaps great a blog for each Association.......................I am of course looking for people to set things up re this blog and we will need content...............any volunteers drop me a line
